Fentanyl Detox in Los Angeles

Why Fentanyl Detox in Los Angeles Is Essential

Fentanyl is an opioid drug, like heroin or morphine. However, the substance is more potent than any other type of opioid drug. Although it is a prescribed pain medication, the abuse of fentanyl has contributed to the current overdose crisis, as most of what is used is man-made. A small amount can lead to a fatal overdose. Even if you take fentanyl without knowing it, you are at risk of overdose.
Fentanyl is addictive. Repeated use of fentanyl can alter your brain activity and rewire your reward system. Therefore, fentanyl detox and fentanyl treatment are crucial for relapse prevention.
At Stairway Resource Center, we have a mission to support every person who comes to us for help so they can find their personal path through careful guidance, support, rebuilding a foundation, relearning life skills, repairing the pieces of the past that have continued to plague us, regaining self-esteem, building confidence, and of course, learning how to remain sober from substance abuse.

What We Treat at Stairway Resource Center

Here at our addiction treatment center, we are a true dual diagnosis program. Chronic relapsers are also a specialty of ours, offering solutions when other treatments have failed. Although we specialize in addiction, we treat substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. We focus on severe/extreme mental health cases alongside addiction.

Stairway Resource Center is primarily a 12-Step-based program, but we also treat conditions like depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Alzheimer’s onset, memory loss, and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Our recovery team understands that fentanyl is the number one drug of abuse. As a result, we provide holistic pain management for severe pain and offer other treatment options, including the following:

  • Holistic practices
  • Clinical modalities
  • Outpatient treatment
  • Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
  • Sober living home (SLH)
  • In-house psych & MD
  • Relapse prevention
  • Family involvement
  • Alumni program

Our Fentanyl Detox in Los Angeles

Stairway Resource Center’s new detox center opened on June 1, 2025. Our fentanyl detox program provides six beds in Tarzana, CA.

We provide a highly personalized, team-based approach that integrates detox, outpatient care, and sober living services. Our fentanyl rehab program has a strong focus on family involvement, court advocacy, and community service. About 90% of our staff are also in recovery, building trust and long-term relationships with clients like you.

Medical Supervision & Safety

Fentanyl use and withdrawal symptoms can be uncomfortable and even dangerous. Detoxing from fentanyl at home alone without professional support is not safe. Due to this, our supportive clinical team at Stairway Resource Center provides 24/7 emotional support and supervision with on-site nursing staff to support a safer medical detoxification process.

Panic attacks, severe anxiety, palpitations, and pain can occur. Your length of stay is generally based on your individual need, but treatment can last from two to six weeks or up to 45 days, if necessary.

Evidence-Based & Spiritual Recovery

Our mission at Stairway Resource Center is to provide structured, spiritual, and evidence-based recovery programs that foster community and connection, while treating severe mental health and addiction. The evidence-based therapies at our facility can help you process trauma and reduce distressing symptoms, paving the way for healing and resilience.

We also foster a supportive environment that emphasizes spiritual growth, which can guide you on your journey toward sobriety. By integrating these principles into our drug or alcohol addiction treatment programs, we can help you achieve a sense of balance that is crucial for long-term success.

Individualized Treatment Plan

Here at Stairway Resource Center, our recovery team understands that each person’s path to addiction recovery is unique. Therefore, we are happy to take further action to address your specific needs. Doing so can ensure you receive proper care. Developing an individualized treatment plan can enhance your experience and increase treatment satisfaction. A specialist at our recovery center may ask a series of questions regarding your medical history, interests, strengths, weaknesses, or recovery goals to help you achieve long-term sobriety. Our team can always reevaluate to help you adjust to unforeseen life changes.

Dual Diagnosis Support

Managing a dual diagnosis can be difficult without receiving professional help. Our expert team of medical professionals understands the challenges associated with both addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.

There is no direct cause of addiction or poor mental health. Several factors can play a significant role in the development of the two conditions. However, addressing the underlying cause of a dual diagnosis is important.

For example, trauma is commonly linked with addiction. First, we help you reach physical stabilization, which can also support mental stability. If you are facing problems with severe addiction or a dual diagnosis, a psychiatrist may recommend medication management to help you reduce side effects. Later, you will begin trauma work or individualized care for support.

Community & Connection

Social isolation can contribute to relapse. Our values at Stairway Resource Center state that community and connection are central to addiction recovery. You will receive compassionate care from our licensed medical professionals for both mental health and addiction issues.

Peer support can promote accountability through trauma work and our 12-Step philosophy. The strength of our programs lies in their emphasis on community involvement. By fostering an environment where individuals can heal together, we create a network of encouragement and understanding that is invaluable during the recovery process. Healthy connections reduce loneliness and foster a supportive, sober community for lasting sobriety.

Stairway Resource Center creates an environment of encouragement from within the community that helps the individual develop the tools needed to achieve long-term sobriety. Call us to learn more about treatment.

What Makes Our Fentanyl Detox in Los Angeles Different?

At Stairway Resource Center, we focus on creating a supportive community that emphasizes connection and peer support. Our holistic approach addresses the mind, body, and spirit, ensuring that your recovery journey is well-rounded and inclusive. We also prioritize community involvement, allowing our patients like you to give back and connect with the broader community.

Levels of Care Following Detox

Once you finish fentanyl detoxification, this does not mean you are entirely cured. Medical detoxification is just the beginning of care. Breaking down other levels of treatment with one of our specialists can help you decide where to begin your journey to addiction recovery. The more we learn from you, the more our team can help. We can then develop your individualized treatment plan that will help us determine the right treatment placement for you to succeed.

Inpatient and Outpatient Options

If you need immediate safety or a higher level of care, our residential treatment or detox program can help you stay connected in a trusted environment. Our team is here for you from the beginning of care, following through your path to recovery. On the other hand, you will also have the option to receive outpatient care with our medical team to achieve greater adaptability and overall wellness.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

If you are seeking a higher level of care that does not require an inpatient stay, our intensive outpatient program (IOP) can help. An IOP can provide the flexibility needed to tackle your daily responsibilities, repair broken relationships due to active addiction, and receive addiction treatment on the same day. This type of treatment is similar to outpatient care, but you will dedicate more time to addiction treatment to be sure you achieve long-term recovery for a greater well-being.

Outpatient Program (OP)

Our outpatient treatment approach addresses the unique challenges faced by individuals in recovery. It also helps manage the demands of everyday life. Whether you or a loved one is stepping down from a higher level of care or seeking support for the first time, our clinical and holistic therapies cater to each stage of recovery. You will have the choice to attend individual therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or participate in support groups such as group therapy, family therapy, or 12-Step meetings. From there, you will learn new coping skills to help you sustain abstinence from drugs and alcohol.

Sober Living & Alumni Support

Once you complete medical detoxification and go through the phases of fentanyl addiction treatment, early recovery can be a vulnerable stage. Knowing that recovery can be busy and oftentimes leave you lonely, peer support can help. Moreover, our sober living home can provide a safe, trauma and substance-free environment. Residents can attend alumni events outside of the sober living home to strengthen their support system.

Aftercare Planning & Relapse Prevention

The aftercare services here at Stairway Resource Center are custom-built to help you address your life after our drug rehab center. You will continue to receive valuable help, advice, and support long after your original rehabilitation service ends. Our long-term aftercare services are designed to help you or your loved one tackle the issues that increase the risks of relapse with proven techniques to promote continued recovery. With our aftercare services, we’re able to help you turn your life around for the better.
