Spiritual and 12-Step Foundations

Stairway Resource Center is a heavily 12-Step-based program. Accountability, trauma work, and the 12-Step philosophy are key components for all participants. Therefore, we primarily focus on spiritual recovery and the 12-Step philosophy. We host Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and alumni meetings. 

MAT Assistance & Medications

We do offer medication-assisted treatment for individuals who may experience severe withdrawal symptoms. It will depend on the diagnosis, the severity of addiction, and what the addiction is. Features of our MAT program include: 

  • If very severe: Sublocade shot
  • Overseen by our Medical Director 
  • Only provided medication as necessary (Case by case) 
    • Medications Ensure Comfort, but ultimately, our goal is to promote abstinence.

Our recovery team treats the homeless with professionals, LGBTQ+, lawyers, doctors, etc. We provide gender-specific homes for men and women, as well as professionals.

Do you offer residential treatment?

We do not offer residential services, but we do offer outpatient treatment. We also offer detox, sober living aftercare options, and help with residential placement. Patients can then return for our outpatient programs. Our model is based on a continuum of care, and we will work with you to find the support and resources you need to transition into the next chapter of alcohol and drug rehab. 

An overlap between SUD and mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, can create a vicious cycle. Clients in our 12-Step program at Stairway Resource Center are encouraged to deconstruct the part of their egos they are willing to examine and rebuild the part of themselves they think needs to change for the better. We understand that cravings and withdrawal symptoms from opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and other forms of drug abuse can be difficult to manage.
