A Safe and Supportive Detox Experience
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. Here at Stairway Resource Center, our alcohol detox in Los Angeles provides a safe treatment environment for reduced relapse. If our clients require a higher level of care, residential and medical detox is strongly advised. Most clients have a previous diagnosis. Rather than relying on past diagnoses, our psychiatrists perform their own evaluations.
Our Medical Detox Services
From drug detoxification to relapse prevention, our comprehensive approach begins with alcohol and drug detoxification, where we prioritize your safety and comfort. Following detox, we transition you into a structured, evidence-based treatment program that emphasizes relapse prevention strategies tailored to your unique needs.

Why Choose Stairway for Alcohol Detox in California?

We have a mission to support every person who comes to us for help so they can find their path through careful guidance, support, rebuilding a foundation, relearning life skills, repairing the pieces of the past that have continued to plague us, regaining self-esteem, building confidence, and, of course, learning how to remain sober.

Treatment Options That Work When Nothing Else Has
The most daunting part of recovery is the threat of a relapse. Stairway Resource Center will help you or your loved one create proper relapse prevention treatment plans. Ultimately, our goal is to develop a personalized aftercare plan to help our patients with their needs. Everyone’s recovery journey is different, but each path will be designed and supported by a professional substance abuse counselor to achieve long-term success.
For Chronic Relapsers & High-Acuity Cases
If underlying issues such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD worsen, they can influence you to revert to unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as drugs and alcohol. Individuals with chronic relapse issues may benefit from learning our drug addiction relapse prevention strategies. Continued work with a licensed counselor at our treatment facility can help you or a loved one address any other co-occurring disorders you may have, so you can stay on track while in recovery.

We Also Provide Family & Legal Support
Addiction affects the entire family; therefore, family involvement is imperative. The family can include immediate family members and closest friends. Throughout the process, we offer family meetings every Monday night to help educate families on setting boundaries and goals.
We also work within the community to serve as a source of rehabilitation for individuals and their families who face legal challenges. They will work with a case worker. Guidance for legal challenges could include:
- Court Advocacy: including child custody cases
- People in custody who are sent to our drug and alcohol detox center
- We share progress reports of each client to show their growth in our programs and community
