What Is Sober Living?

If you are experiencing difficulty sustaining sobriety and feel hesitant to transition into early recovery, you may benefit from a sober living home (SLH). An SLH provides a safe, alcohol and drug-free environment.

For many, sober living homes are a critical component of getting ongoing community support. Stairway Resource Center offers gender-specific group housing options for patients who need a safe, comfortable place to live for up to six months after completing a substance use disorder (SUD) program. These homes are designed to help patients regain their independence outside of a drug rehab center, without being thrust back into a stressful world before they’re ready.

Our dual diagnosis treatment center in Los Angeles aims to break the overlap between addiction and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. Spiritual & 12-Step Foundation

Our recovery team specializes in addiction, primarily 12-Step-based. Accountability, trauma work, and the 12-Step philosophy are key components of our treatment program. For example, we host multiple Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and alumni meetings. 

A Real Community That Stays Connected

We are heavily involved in local sober events, including comedy shows, sober parties, and community outreach initiatives (e.g., quarterly homeless drives that provide Narcan, socks, clothing, and first aid kits). Our facility partners with nonprofits focused on addiction, mental health, and homelessness. Our sober living home is located in Woodland Hills, CA. Together, we can help you build a recovery toolkit that encourages healthy, positive lifestyle habits and thought patterns in an environment filled with people you can trust for ongoing support.

Residential treatment provides 24/7 monitoring and supervision, whereas our sober living program provides alumni support for individuals in recovery from addiction or a dual diagnosis. 

The length of your stay depends on your individual needs. However, an average stay can range from short-term, three months, to a year or more.

We provide therapy, dual diagnosis treatment, relapse prevention, and continuum of care support. Our team also provides medication-assisted treatment, partial hospitalization, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for those seeking more support.
