Our Recovery Services in Los Angeles

Our compassionate team of professionals works hard to develop an individualized treatment plan. We provide a range of behavioral health services to ensure your unique needs are addressed.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our IOP also provides flexibility if you require less frequent, shorter therapy sessions. These might include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based therapies for true efficacy. You can complete your studies or attend work outside of treatment. Each individual has the option to attend group therapy, receive relapse prevention treatment services, or take a spiritual approach to recovery with our team.

Outpatient Treatment (OP)

If you are ready for a step-down from residential care, outpatient rehab can be an effective option. This is the least intensive level of care. You or your loved one can receive up to one to two therapy sessions per week, along with community support. Outpatient treatment can allow you to maintain your daily routine while continuing your recovery journey in a flexible, supportive environment.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

If you are facing challenges with drug or alcohol withdrawal, our team may advise you to receive safe medical detox before transitioning into our care. Depending on the severity of your substance use disorder, you may receive methadone to ease symptoms.

Once you complete medically supervised detox for withdrawal management, you can later transfer to our structured day treatment program. Our substance abuse treatment in Los Angeles understands that inpatient rehab and residential treatment can be time-consuming. However, with medical detoxification and later psychiatric care during the day, you can return home to tackle other priorities for balance.

Sober Living

Here at Stairway Resource Center, we provide gender-specific homes to create a comfortable and safe environment tailored to each individual’s needs. Our sober living program teaches accountability and provides peer connection for reduced isolation in recovery. Living in a structured, supportive environment can help you develop essential life skills and build confidence as you transition back into everyday life.

Stairway Resource Center creates an environment of encouragement within the community that helps individuals develop the tools needed to achieve long-term sobriety. Call us to learn more about treatment.

Our Approach to Addiction & Mental Health Treatment

Stairway Resource Center understands that the journey to recovery should not be undertaken alone. The strength of our rehab programs lies in the emphasis on peer support.

Dual Diagnosis Care

Our center for addiction treatment in Los Angeles provides dual diagnosis care – integrated treatment for both substance abuse and mental health issues. A psychiatrist reassesses and creates accurate diagnoses to ensure safer healing.

12-Step & Spiritual Recovery

Here at Stairway Resource Center, our team understands the significance of the 12-Step philosophy in addiction recovery. Therefore, we provide Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) groups and host the largest meetings in LA. We integrate spiritual principles within our clinical care.

Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Therapies

Trauma is commonly linked with addiction. Our trauma-informed practices consist of evidence-based modalities such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, neurofeedback, and psychotherapy.

TMS Therapy

We provide unique in-house treatment for resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and memory loss. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) fields are used to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of major depressive disorder (MDD).

Holistic Healing

At Stairway Resource Center, we understand that true recovery involves healing the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Our holistic treatment approach complements traditional therapy by addressing the underlying imbalances that contribute to addiction. The holistic practices at SRC include meditation, breathwork, and developing sober living skills to promote healthy living.

Community & Connection

Any stage of recovery can be lonely. In Southern California, we host several community events to support sober connections while in recovery. At Stairway Resource Center, you will have the opportunity to attend homeless outreach events, sober parties, and comedy events to build a strong support system. Our alumni program helps our clients gain national connections while attending weekly meetings for continuous education. Clients gain life skills development and court advocacy for an easier recovery process.

Relapse Prevention & Long-Term Support

A relapse within the first year after completing addiction treatment is common. However, Stairway Resource Center provides ongoing therapy, alumni involvement, and aftercare planning for lasting sobriety. Our Gorski Model relapse prevention will help you every step of the way.

Family Involvement in the Recovery Journey

Immediate family nurturance is crucial in the recovery process. For that reason, we provide family therapy sessions, family-only support groups, and ongoing care to promote long-term recovery. We understand that addiction can affect the family as a whole. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to attend group therapy every Monday night. We educate families on setting boundaries and achievable goals for relapse prevention. Our team also supports court Advocacy; child custody cases are sent to them. To conclude, loved ones will receive progress reports to stay in the loop.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Yes! SRC accepts most major insurance plans, making access to treatment more affordable and convenient for you. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider directly to confirm coverage specifics and any potential out-of-pocket costs. Our team can also assist you in understanding your benefits and navigating the insurance process. Stairway Resource Center’s goal is to work with you to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent you from receiving the care you need.

The duration of treatment varies depending on your individual needs, type of program, and progress made over time. Typically, our programs last between 4 and 6 months, providing ample time for meaningful recovery. Some clients may require shorter periods, around 2 to 6 weeks, especially if their needs are less complex. In certain cases, our residential opioid treatment program can extend up to 45 days if additional support or stabilization is necessary. We tailor each treatment plan to support sustainable recovery and long-term wellness.

Dual diagnosis treatment involves addressing both addiction issues and co-occurring mental health disorders simultaneously. Our team of specialists is trained to evaluate and treat conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. If you are facing challenges with severe drug or alcohol use, we may recommend medication-assisted treatment (MAT). However, no narcotic medications are offered at the outpatient program.

For example, you may receive buprenorphine or methadone to ease withdrawal symptoms or be prescribed psychiatric medications in combination with talk therapy to manage addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions best. This integrated approach often leads to better outcomes because it considers the interplay between mental health and addiction. By treating both issues at once, we can help you achieve a more stable and lasting recovery.

Absolutely! At Stairway Resource Center, our recovery team understands that balancing work, school, treatment, and relationships can feel overwhelming. For that reason, outpatient treatment is a flexible option that allows your loved one to receive professional support while maintaining daily responsibilities. It provides structured therapy, counseling, and support groups in a less restrictive environment to promote recovery.

Many clients find outpatient care effective as an initial step or a continuation of more intensive treatment. We encourage families to discuss this option with our team to determine the best approach based on your loved one’s specific needs.

Sober living is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended, especially if you have a severe addiction or co-occurring mental health conditions. Living in a sober environment can provide ongoing peer support and accountability during the early stages of addiction or mental health recovery. Residing in a sober living home can also help you develop healthy routines and maintain sobriety as you reintegrate into daily life.

Our team can assist you in recommending appropriate sober living options tailored to specific circumstances. Many clients find that sober living helps build lasting habits and creates a stable foundation so you can achieve long-term recovery success.

At Stairway Resource Center, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and nurturing community that truly emphasizes connection and peer support. Our holistic approach addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—recognizing that recovery goes beyond treating addiction.
